Internet Webcasts

If you live outside of Southern California you can view the broadcast on the Internet. Go to http://dhtv.csudh.edu

You will need latest version of the flash player. The flash player can be downloaded for free at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer

You may have to turn off your popup blocker and virus protection program. You should not have any other applications running while you are watching the webcast. It can be difficult to view the live webcast with a wireless connection. You may need a hardwire connection to the Internet.

You should try to login to http://dhtv.csudh.edu now. You will need to click on the play icon (triangle) in the middle of the black screen. If you cannot connect to http://dhtv.csudh.edu or if you cannot see and hear the webcast, call the Distance Learning office at 310.243.2288 or send me an email (washley@csudh.edu) We will be busy directing the broadcast and cannot offer tech support during the class.

You will also have an opportunity to login to a chat room with your first and last name. The primary purpose of the chat room is for students to type in questions or comments they have for the instructor. You should use your real first name and last name to log in to the chat room so the instructor will know who is asking the question or making the comment.

The instructor does not see the chat room. If you want to communicate with the instructor, click on the icon that says AskaQuestion and type in your question or comment. The control room will monitor the AskaQuestion chat room and copy the questions and comments to a screen the instructor can see. If you want to have a chat with another student you can click on their icon and open a separate chat room.

If you are unable to view the broadcast live you can view an archived video of the class if you go to http://youtube.com/csudhtv , and click on the class meeting that you missed.
